The ceremony was attended by SCM representatives – judge Horațiu Dumbravă - SCM President, Mr. Attorney George Bălan - . SCM Vice President and Judge Adrian Neacșu, SCM member.
Representing the Mediation Council, Mrs. Anca Elisabeta Ciucă - CM President, Mrs. Katalin Barbara Kibedi - CM Vice-president, Mr. Zeno Sustac - CM member and coordinator of the Commission to promote mediation and Mrs. Mariana Zainia - CM member and member of the Standing Committee of the CM.
The Protocol signed yesterday acknowledges the cooperation relations between the two bodies and lays the foundation for organizational and legislative collaboration concerning mediation.
Among others, as a result of the signing protocol, the SCM will collect statistics on the number of cases resolved through mediation, but also those in which the parties have been sent to inform themselves about the mediation. On the other hand, the Mediation Council shall make clarifications on how the documentation is made by the mediator, in consultation with representatives of the SCM periodically on the form, content and procedures.The joint effort of the signatory parties is recognized as a quality improvement act of justice, primarily by relieving the courts, at the same time, in this manner it will respond to the continuous demands of the European Commission to provide statistics on the use of mediation in accordance with Directive CE/52/2008.
On this occasion, other possible collaborations and joint actions were examined, that aim at the widest possible use of mediation, in some cases as binding.

The Superior Council of Magistracy has signed a cooperation protocol with the Mediation Council
